The Farnham Knights has a strong heritage with youth and junior American Football in the UK. We currently have an active under-17s team who play in the British American Football Association's (BAFA) U17s league, which features boys and girls aged 13 to 16. We are also actively recruiting junior players for our under-19s squad, for young men and women aged 17-19.

What makes the Farnham Knights youth team set-up unique is that the Head Coach of the adult team is also the Head Coach of the U17 and U19 teams. This means players get the very best coaching, as he is able to share years of playing and management experience, having played professionally in North America, including in the NFL. He is backed up by specialist youth coaches who are all qualified and have undergone mandatory enhanced DBS checks.

Having been Youth National runner-ups in 1994, the Farnham Knights won their first National Youth Championship in 1996. Since then the team has finished runner-up in the National Championship three times (1998, 2007, 2014), won their conference twice (2013 and 2014) and won the National Championship again in 2009. With new coaching staff put in place for the 2018 season, the club are dedicated to building Championship-winning teams and a key objective is to appear in the National Championship finals by 2020.

We welcome youth players from all across Surrey and Hampshire, regardless of experience or ability.

Our coaches have taken players who have never held an American Football through to playing college football in America, and with an emphasis on fun as well as hard work and winning games, we truly believe we get the best from the young men and women who call themselves Knights.
